I have some experience with rug hooking, and I only work on my own designs, so I was interested in the book. I'd seen a number of the author's rugs in shows and they always caught my eye as something special. The book is great for expanding my sometimes dull mind to consider different sorts of designs I've done in past, encourages me to be more inventive. A very good resource for any rug hooker's library. Illustrations and directions are very well presented and most helpful for learners as well as experienced rug hookers.
I got this to adapt the lessons on design to the craft of locker-hooking, similar to rug hooking. I was so inspired by the detailed explanations of how to create your own rugs based on sound design basics and the sample rugs pictured in the book, that I am going to learn rug hooking as well! Beautiful and unique rugs and their creators are featured.

I bought this book because I am signed up for a class with the author this summer. A good investment on my part because, although I am a little intimidated with the topic, Ms. Feller's approach and fundamental approach to design skills is very readable. I am now looking forward to the class. Thank you Ms. Feller for making me feel more comfortable with the subject!
